Manchester Digital is the independent trade association for the thriving digital industries in the North West of England.
Our vision is simple, that by working together we can make Manchester and the North West an even better place for digital business.
A lively events programme brings members together where they can learn and do business - from the flagship Big Chip Awards - celebrating the best from the region - to regular top-quality seminars and small self-help groups offering practical help and advice.
Manchester Digital is a non-profit association, independent of the public sector, but well connected with policy makers and committees.
Manchester Digital members get benefits including posting rights on the website and discounts for events. But perhaps more importantly many think that they do better business by working together. It doesn’t cost much: just £25 per year for individuals and from £50 for small businesses.

MIDAS is Manchester’s investment and development agency and its role is to attract new investment and employment to the city region.
MIDAS drives the global business marketing of Manchester as a world-class location for business and deliver an extensive package of expert, free and confidential advice for location consultants and potential investors. We provide aftercare to recent investors and work closely with those foreign-owned companies already located in Manchester City Region, creating new jobs and increasing productivity.
The expertise that MIDAS has developed has directly contributed to Manchester being recognised as a Top Ten Major European City (Financial Times fDi) ranked 15th in the world for inward investment (IBM Global Locations study) and more recently rated as Europe’s top city for business competitiveness (KPMG International)
Working in partnership with the ten local authorities of Greater Manchester and the NWDA, MIDAS provides services such as relocation support, assistance in finding property solutions and advice on recruitment and training as well as assistance with securing grants.

The Sharp Project ... not so much a building ...more of a way of life
The Sharp Project has been designed to provide the ethos and environment for the next generation of creative companies to explore their potential.
We are open for business 24-7-365.
The project is rapidly becoming home to an eclectic mix of creative and digital companies who have one thing in common - content.
We have an abundance of power, space and connectivity , all designed to be flexible and to work with the ebb and flow of the creative industries.
We facilitate local, regional, national and international networking and collaboration, helping to nurture small businesses with an emphasis on the specialisms of animation, CGI and visual effects.
The Sharp Project has an enormous variety of space available within the complex, ranging from large-scale Stages through to small office spaces that can be rented on a weekly basis.
The building is supported by very high speed digital connectivity and bandwidth, together with excellent power supplies. A back up generator ensures a resilient power supply. And – by ensuring that our power hungry data centres use the best green techniques – it will aim to reduce the carbon impact of the net, and offer affordable power to its users.
Tenants and users of the site will be well-placed to take advantage of all the opportunities available through next generation networks and to drive forward the creative sector in Manchester.
