Our vision is simple, that by working together we can make Manchester and the North West an even better place for digital business.

A lively events programme brings members together where they can learn and do business - from the flagship Big Chip Awards - celebrating the best from the region - to regular top-quality seminars and small self-help groups  offering practical help and advice.

Manchester Digital is a non-profit association, independent of the public sector, but well connected with policy makers and committees.

Manchester Digital members get benefits including posting rights on the website and discounts for events. But perhaps more importantly many think that they do better business by working together.  It doesn’t cost much: just £25 per year for individuals and from £50 for small businesses.

The Sharpe Project

The sharpe Project logo

The Sharp Project ... not so much a building ...more of a way of life

The Sharp Project has been designed to provide the ethos and environment for the next generation of creative companies to explore their potential.

We are open for business 24-7-365.

The project is rapidly becoming home to an eclectic mix of creative and digital companies who have one thing in common - content.

We have an abundance of power, space and connectivity , all designed to be flexible and to work with the ebb and flow of the creative industries.

We facilitate local, regional, national and international networking and collaboration, helping to nurture small businesses with an emphasis on the specialisms of animation, CGI and visual effects.

The Sharp Project has an enormous variety of space available within the complex, ranging from large-scale Stages through to small office spaces that can be rented on a weekly basis.

The building is supported by very high speed digital connectivity and bandwidth, together with excellent power supplies. A back up generator ensures a resilient power supply. And – by ensuring that our power hungry data centres use the best green techniques – it will aim to reduce the carbon impact of the net, and offer affordable power to its users.
Tenants and users of the site will be well-placed to take advantage of all the opportunities available through next generation networks and to drive forward the creative sector in Manchester.
